
A 2017 Urban and Regional Song Of Year finalist in Queensland’s Music Awards, Hanlon Brothers were awarded Gold Coast’s Emerging Artist Of The Year in 2015, as well as Artist of the Year finalist in 2016 and are hailed as local heroes, “What they have going is truly unique, and there is no other band on the Gold Coast with as big or as loyal of an audience. They can hold a crowd of thousands in the palm of their hand,” said NightQuarter director, Michelle Christoe.
Cutting their teeth hosting popular live improv nights, Hanlon Brothers have since played Woodford Folk Festival, Surfers Paradise LIVE and supported the likes of Cat Empire, House of Shem and Stan Walker, attracting the watchful gaze of music giants Warner Music and Jay Z’s record company Roc Nation in the process.
A musical melting pot of creative chemistry, fine-tuned talent and broad influences, Hanlon Brothers, Saia and Omar Hanlon, are joined by former New Zealand Idol winner Matthew Saunoa, rapper Roman Albert, the soulful Mr.Thomas Stowers and some of the world’s best horns players.
