The Band started off as (singer) Ellis’ new baby after he left his last band, and wanted a decent project that reflected the boys life style properly. Parties, surfing, skating and the eternal summer of road trips surrounded by mates and good vibes. Imagine Wayne’s World in Venice beach.
We spend summers on surf trips and finding adventures. The music just comes naturally out of that environment.
The last year saw the band release their debut EP “Clambake”, which features the bands First single, “Ignorance”.
Each member of the band take inspiration from different old school eras , Zep, Floyd, Gunners, Young, Zappa etc. Once its all mixed up they end up with a modern take on an era people love to identify themselves with. At least one old mate comes up to the band after each set and tell them they should have started playing 40 years ago. The live set is a confused myriad of singles from your parent’s record collection, almost every song is completely different brought together with their own style of psych rock.
The boys have played alongside the likes of DZ Deathrays, Guantanamo Baywatch, Alex Lahey, Skeggs, Caravana Sun and many more. With appearances at shows like Sounds of the Suburbs and Oxford Art Factory’s 9th birthday bash the boys are making an impression on the Sydney scene.
