With their early releases the attention and accolades poured in and earned them performances at prestigious events like the Edmonton and Canmore Folk Festivals and CMW. They propelled themselves to an even higher peak with 2014’s Warrington, earning rave reviews in addition to shows alongside contemporaries like Hey Rosetta!, Said the Whale, and Born Ruffians.
Long Walk Home, the prairie indie outfit’s current third LP, finds them effortlessly weaving catchy vocals and memorable melodies through relatively rich arrangements – instantly engaging but begging to be heard again and again. It’s a coveted combination within the crowded sphere of indie rock.
The list of achievements for Long Walk Home is long. Their hit single Love Keeps reached the #1 spot on CBC Radio 2 Top20 and was added to numerous commercial radio stations, peaking at #21 of the Canada Alternative Rock Charts and reaching an audience of over 4 Million people through commercial radio plays.
Coming Back landed several placements on TV commercials and a new BBC show, which was aired in early 2017 in the UK. Younger was added to a couple of Spotify Playlists and helped the album to get passed 1 Million streams only 3 months after the release. Last but not least Long Walk Home earned 2 Western Canadian Music Awards nominations for the prestigious “Recording of the Year” and “Rock Artists of the Year” categories.
Currently the band is already working on their new album with producer Howard Redekopp (Tegan&Sara, The New Pornographers…), aiming for a release in early 2018.
