Starting out as a musician and songwriter, Luke Girgis fell into Artist Management in 2006 out of a strong desire to help his friends and fellow collaborators grow their audience.
Most recently, in partnership with Seventh Street Ventures Luke has launched Seventh Street Media, a Music Media company which has already acquired well known Australian publications Tone Deaf, The Brag and J Play, as well as launching pop music portal Don’t Bore Us.
Acting as CEO of the company Luke offers the deep knowledge of viral marketing, content creation and a unique understanding of the Australian music landscape needed to drive Seventh Street Media to the forefront of native advertising and provide advertisers with valuable opportunities to reach Australian millennials.
Previously Luke has headed up Australian record label Shock Records as A&R director, managed the trust for Michael Hutchence (INXS), and has run successful publicity and marketing campaigns for Triple J Hottest 100 placing artist Chance Waters and Australian classic rock supergroup The Dead Daisies.
Luke helped sydney pop act Little Sea conquer social media, designing content strategies that saw the band trend at #1 on Twitter worldwide more than 30 times, and guided the ‘Queen of Shitty Robots’ – Simone Giertz on her path from YouTube star to highly sort after public speaker, regular international talk-show invitee and face of her own TV series and book deal.
Outside of his activities as CEO of Seventh Street Media, Luke operates his talent management company Be Like Children, where he works in total collaboration with his entertainers and tailors an approach to support their personality, artistic image and personal beliefs.
