Who is that girl creating a hurricane of sound with a harp and loop pedal? She is ELSKA. Commanding attention for her unconventional live performance with a harp, ELSKA is an emerging Australian artist breaking the mould of pop music. Looping hook-filled harp melodies with percussive harp beats, ELSKA’s hurricane of sound is backed by her soulful voice, sassy stage presence and charismatic lyrics… telling tales of cheaters & liars, romantic revenge, and finding love in a peculiar place.
This year, ELSKA travelled from her home town of the Gold Coast to Brighton, UK; where she recorded her first studio EP at Brighton Electric Studios. Collaborating with prominent UK producer, Dan Swift (Passenger, Snow Patrol), ELSKA’s forthcoming EP is set for release in 2018. She has just finished performing alongside 300 artists at Australia’s largest busking festival, Buskers by the Creek (Gold Coast); and will also be part of the line-up at the 2017 Airlie Beach Festival of Music this November.
ELSKA could stand alone in the world of pop with just her song writing and vocals, but combined with her musical weapon – the harp – she is a force to be reckoned with. The only way to truly experience what she is, is to see ELSKA.
