KAREN HAMILTON – GENERAL MANAGER, 120 PUBLISHING (TMRW Music Group, formerly Ministry Of Sound Australia)
With over 20 years experience in the industry across A&R, mechanical and sync licensing Karen is passionate about publishing and the song writing process.
Having previously worked at AMCOS and Warner Chappell, in 1999 she partnered with music industry legend John Woodruff to form the publishing company Rough Cut Music. Over the next decade Rough Cut went on to sign and develop some of the biggest names in Australian music including Savage Garden, Evermore, Kisschasy, Trial Kennedy and The Butterfly Effect.
Through a long term friendship with Tim McGee (legendary DJ/CEO of Ministry), and an even longer term love of electronic music, 2011 saw the launch of 120 Publishing.
Although a lot of 120’s success is in dance music they represent producers and topliners across all genres with a strong focus on European and US markets, and a joint venture presence in China and surrounding countries concentrating on J-Pop, K-Pop and M-Pop.
Local writers include Sam Littlemore, Paul Brandoli, Joel Fletcher, Savage, Chris Arnott, Dennis Dowlut, Andy Van, Ron E Jones, Naderi & Tom Piper, and international catalogues and writers such as Angger Dimas, Mark Yardley (Stanton Warriors), Morgan Page, Sirup Music, Toolroom, GL Music and Jalapeno Music.
