After responding to an advert for a band seeking a vocalist with song writing capabilities, Duncan joined UK bands Angel Station, and later Chunky Kustard. Both bands wrote and recorded original music, and performed live gigs. It was during this time that Duncan extended his musical capabilities and took up playing the guitar, enabling him to write his own material as a solo artist.
Duncan returned to South Africa 5 years later, where he entered a local “Battle of the Bands” comp in two categories, walking away with best solo performance as well as best original song, titled “My Revolution” in the band category, which delivered free studio recording time.
Duncan currently lives in Cronulla, NSW after having immigrated to Australia with his family in early 2017, and is back on the music scene doing what he loves most!
Duncan has a unique style ranging from folk to pop, mixed with a twist of African roots, and continues to write and perform as a solo artist.
