Dan formed TCO Artists (‘Taking Care of Artists’) in 2014 and manages the careers of The McClymonts, Adam Eckersley Band, Adam Eckersley & Brooke McClymont, Fanny Lumsden and McAlister Kemp. He is the current Chairman of the Country Music Association of Australia and a Director of the board of the British Country Music Association.
His music career started in 1988 at the age of 12 when he started learning guitar and soon after formed his first band. By the age of 15 they were playing the bar scene of Northern NSW and Dan quickly gravitated towards the management aspects of the band. This led to studying a double major of Music Industry Studies & Music Production at Southern Cross University.
In 1997 Dan moved to Sydney and started an internship at Warner Music Australia before landing the role of Telesales Representative at BMG in 1998. From 1998 to 2014 Dan held various roles in Sales, Marketing & Promotions at BMG, Universal Music Australia and Sony Music Australia and most notably handled marketing for projects such as Midnight Oil ‘Essential Oils” and Hoodoo Gurus “Gold Watch: 20 Golden Greats” as well as the Sony Music Nashville roster in Australia.
