As an avid music lover at 15, Jo’s path into the music industry was set.
A Year 10 school work experience stint at CBS Records led to eagerly returning each holidays to work (excited to be paid in Poison vinyl & promo goodies :), before landing a job within the company at 17. By 18, a dream offer to join Mushroom Records’ PR team was snapped up – six months in, having dinner with The Ramones, this shy kid felt right at home and spent the next 15 years working within the Mushroom/Mds & Festival Mushroom PR departments.
Moving into Freelance Publicity, Jo has handled PR campaigns for TEG Live (tours for The Tea Party, Jessica Mauboy & Ricky Martin), Sydney Blues & Roots Festival, Richmond Fontaine, The Whitlams/Tim Freedman and more…
Currently, she thrives on representing a number of independent artists & clients including Stanley Records, Ben Leece, Tracy McNeil & The GoodLife, Magpie Diaries, Georgia State Line, Lachlan Bryan & The Wildes, Abby Dobson, Katie Brianna and Dashville Skyline Festival amongst many more fine acts.
